Using legos as a supportive tool deepens thinking and clarifies the shared vision.<\/b><\/p>\n

LEGO\u00ae SERIOUS PLAY\u00ae is a facilitation methodology where participants build a systemic model with lego bricks. The model is then used to identify the forces influencing the vision and the strengths and weaknesses of the system. Working with Legos is a bit different but fun, insightful, and highly effective.<\/span><\/p>\n

“Coordinated by WWF Finland, Eat4Change is an international project pushing for\u202fa shift toward a more sustainable food system. Mukamas Learning Design helped us facilitate the project’s Midterm Meeting, attended by approximately 50 people of varying ages and languages from nine countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>After two years of Zoom meetings, we wanted our first live meeting to succeed in building team spirit and developing the project further.<\/span><\/p>\n

Mukamas did an excellent job. Our work culture is casual, and the facilitators’ style and personalities suited our way of working really well. Thanks to Johanna and Liisa-Maija’s help, we crystallised and clarified our next steps. We now have a clearer picture of our successes and lessons learned and better understand where to focus our efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>A unique facilitation method was the so-called Gallery Walk, where project partners showcased successful events using various creative techniques, including posters, legos, paint, and play dough. The level of inspiration and insight everyone got from the experience was completely different compared to watching a PowerPoint presentation in Zoom.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>We were also impressed by how well the facilitators reacted to last-minute changes. When you’re responsible for everything \u2013 ensuring the meeting is a success, and everyone is happy \u2013 your partner’s flexible and creative approach makes a huge difference.”<\/p>\n

We facilitated an inspiring virtual kick-off event for a city department, with over 400 people participating. During significant changes in the operating environment, we worked together to clarify values, principles, and a common direction. We also did case study exercises to find solutions for end clients’ varying situations. To make collaboration as easy as possible, we used the digital platform Howspace, where participants could familiarise themselves with the topics before meeting online.<\/span><\/p>\n

At a property maintenance company’s development days, we helped managers reflect on their own leadership and management of learning in the workplace. The discussion touched on topics such as self-determination and responsibility for one’s own work. We also used visual facilitation, which helped make the shared thinking and the results more visible.<\/span><\/p>\n

In strategy workshops, we helped clarify a digital services client’s guiding ideas, mission, vision, and values. During the process, we facilitated workshops with staff, management and stakeholders. The workshops were woven together into a lean procedure, also using the Howspace<\/a> platform. The resulting strategy visualisation has helped to communicate core ideas within the work community and externally to customers.<\/span><\/p>\n
